Flooring Care, Skirting & Architraves

Floors and trim tell the truth about a renovation: level transitions, consistent reveals, and timber that can be maintained without hidden damage under the boards.

Restored oak floor with fresh white skirting boards

When this applies

Select this when boards are worn or stained, skirting was damaged during other work, door frames need new architraves, or floor height changes require adjusted trim profiles.

Typical scope

  • Assessment of timber type and existing finish systems
  • Local board replacement or full-room sand and seal when quoted
  • Supply and fit of skirting or architraves to agreed profiles
  • Gap filling and caulking at floor-to-wall junctions
  • Protection of newly finished floors during other trades

How we sequence work

  1. Confirm furniture movement and drying conditions
  2. Complete floor repairs or sanding passes with dust control
  3. Apply sealers or oils with manufacturer intervals
  4. Fit and fill trim; sand and prime for paint if included
  5. Final inspect for movement gaps and touch-ups

What you receive at handback

  • Floor care products and recoating intervals where relevant
  • Paint colours or stain references for trim
  • Notes on acclimatisation if new timber was installed
  • Areas left protected until other work finishes
